PARKTRENT GALA
A Night to Remember
I have been attending Parktrent’s Galas for years, and it was an absolute delight when my father, Ron Cross, CEO of PTPG asked if I would like to dress the hosts, the talent, and get up on stage during the evening to talk about Kaliver and introduce the brand to his clients.
The Galas kicked off during May, in Canberra. I had 3 models and Raechel Beck, a very talented friend and singer, to dress.
It isn’t very often that I have the chance to sit back and take it all in (in regards to Kaliver), but as I was walking through the crowd of people in my ABSOLUTE DRESS and BAHBAH Jacket from Kaliver’s debut collection, I could hear people whispering as I passed them ‘I wonder where she got that dress from,’ it made my heart melt. I have never felt so warm and fuzzy. I had a smile that was bigger than my face (well so it seemed).
The night went off with a bang, Kaliver had too many positive comments to count, the response and the acceptance of the brand was incredible. Generating buzz is what we were there to do, and that’s what we did.
We backed up with the second PTPG Gala in Brisbane the following weekend. Because we knew the drill and all the glitches from the first night had been smoothed out, the night went as smooth as butter. The Hosts again looked incredible, it was really nice to receive positive comments from them, personally, and through their social media – I will slowly release these photos.
I also had the pleasure of dressing the ever-talented Jane Cho, a world-famous Electric Violinist, who loved the collection so much so, she borrowed most of it for a red carpet weekend in Adelaide last weekend.
I am really looking forward to our next Gala in South Australia on the 5th July. I cannot wait to work with Parktrent, Raechel, Jane, Jenae, and Sassy Models, thank you for all your continued love and support – I really couldn’t have done it without you.
